About Dr. Shiv Kumar Sarin

Dr. S.K. Sarin earned his MBBS with seven gold medals in 1974 and MD in 1978 from Rajasthan University, followed by DM in Gastroenterology from AIIMS in 1981. He joined GB Pant Hospital in 1983, progressing to full Professorship by 1991. In 2009, he was appointed as the founding Director of ILBS, establishing the first dedicated liver “University” in Asia. 

Under his leadership, ILBS became a WHO collaborating centre and a deemed university, performing thousands of procedures annually. Dr. S.K. Sarin, Gastroenterologist, is one of the most recognized names in liver care today.
