About Dr. Rajkamal Vishnu

Dr. Rajkamal Vishnu is a minimally invasive thoracic and pectus surgeon with over 14 years of experience.
His surgical expertise includes chest wall reconstruction for pectus deformities of all ages, minimal invasive repair for pectus excavatum correction (MIRPE), and minimally invasive repair for pectus carinatum correction.
He has also performed numerous video-assisted thoracoscopic surgeries (VATS), including surgeries for lung cancer, mediastinal mass, diaphragm disorders, VATS decortication, VATS thoracic sympathectomy, VATS pericardiectomy, thoracic trauma, and routine open thoracic surgeries.
Dr. Vishnu completed his MBBS at Sri Manakula Vinayagar Medical College, Pondicherry in 2010 and his MS in General Surgery at A. J. Institute of Medical Sciences, Bengaluru in 2016.
In 2019, he obtained his MCh in Cardiothoracic and Vascular Surgery at Kasturba Medical College, Manipal.
He holds fellowships in intensive pectus surgery and thoracic surgery, obtained from reputed institutions in South Korea.
In order to gain further expertise as a surgeon, he attended the Chest Wall Reconstruction Workshop at Siriraj Hospital in Bangkok, Thailand.
His academic achievements have earned him numerous accolades, such as the ‘Best VATS Lab Table’ in South Korea.
Dr. Vishnu is a prolific speaker and has presented papers at international and national conferences in Istanbul, Busan, Chennai, and Vizag.
His interest in research is apparent from his many publications in renowned journals such as the Journal of Vascular Access and the Journal of Cardio-Thoracic Medicine.
